I think you can definitely say that we are living life right now. Ha. It's been filled to the brim with just about everything, but not necessarily in a bad way. The construction work (asbestos/drywall) is going well and should be done (cross your fingers) by tomorrow afternoon. That just means the 'paid' part is done, not our part. Eeeks, I really don't want to think about what our part entails. Ok, let's think about it. Ha. We have to prime and paint the ceiling in the kitchen, dining, formal dining and bathroom. We've never painted ceilings before - is this hard? Hope not!
Then, we have to reinstall all crown moulding, trim, cabinet trim, top edge of the plank wall, all lighting, all new can lights, sconces, etc., etc., etc.
But, seriously, if the ceiling looks as good as I think it's going to look then it's all worth it. Let's just not chat about the checkbook. =)
Actually, I do plan on giving exact numbers and details for the asbestos abatement and drywall installation. I think it could be helpful to others to see what it could run you. Look for that mid-week next week.
I posted this on Instagram the other day.
It's looking better than that for sure! Seriously, I can't wait! In other news, I have been sourcing quotes on wood flooring. I'm pretty excited about that. It just seems like we are so close to the kitchen being done that it seems silly to not knock the flooring out as well. So, we'll see on that one.

So, weekend trips. What's up with us being busy on the weekends? Last weekend, Luke and I snuck away. This weekend, I have a newborn workshop that I'm attending in St. Louis. My mom and sister are going up with me early and we are going to spend a bit of time shopping. I'm excited to hit a few stores (specifically, a Restoration Hardware outlet).
I've also been eyeing a few organizational things at World Market as well. Specifically, I'm interested in these:
Next week, the little man has spring break so we are going to take a few days and go back to St. Louis. This time, Luke and Greyson are going to go with me and we plan on hanging out with Luke's brother. I'm sure the City Museum (have you ever checked this out - it's amazing!) will be on the the to-do list.
I hope you have a relaxing fun weekend!

Thanks! Unfortunately, it is taking way longer than expected! Keep telling myself that another two days with no shower (baths only! lol) and no kitchen will be well worth it.

We are about to paint our ceiling too!! I am nervous. I did find ceiling paint that paints on purple, and dries white... so you can better see where you are painting!

Oh, totally great to know! I haven't gone and bought paint yet.. so that's perfect!
