If you’ve been a reader for long then you know that I’m a die-hard Chiefs fan. It’s been much easier to be a Chiefs fan the last two years because they have been good. But, I’m a fan good or bad (I’ll put Alex Smith in the good category – so don’t comment if you disagree). =) Anyways, when Wayfair reached out asking about what we do during the football season… I was all about it! We LOVE going to Arrowhead (the loudest stadium in the world) but we also love to watch football at home. So, today, I’m sharing about Couchgating Done Right and what makes an enjoyable football Sunday for us. Oh, and if you aren’t a football fan – don’t worry! I have a delicious recipe to share that anyone will love as well as my favorite necessities for making our living room nice and cozy.
I will admit that I’m a play-by-play watcher. Like, the tv has to be recorded and paused for everything. I don’t want to miss a thing. Occasionally (ahem, like on this past Sunday), the game is just a nail-biter and I need a quick breather. I’m serious you guys! So, what do we do when we need to let off a bit of excitement? We play corn hole! It’s so easy to setup and perfect for our living room or basement.
Our little man loves to play and it’s one game that is actually an outdoor game but safe enough to play inside.
We generally have one of the boards set up in the basement at all times.
When I’m not biting my nails, snuggled up with a cozy blanket or playing corn hole then I’m eating.
Football watching just goes right along with snack food and beer, right? It does in our house for sure. We aren’t picky on the type of snack food but we do have a few favorites.
One of our favorites is this bacon cheese dip. It’s so easy to make and completely fatty and delicious. Instead of chips, you’ll want to grab a bag or two of waffle french fries. Seriously, the waffle french fries and the dip together are a match made in heaven.
Make sure to print or pin the recipe down below. It’s a keeper; promise!
Here’s my favorite football Sunday must-haves (and for those of you who aren’t football fans – there’s a few things even you will enjoy):
We have that exact corn hole set and really love it. If you don’t have one you should totally pick one up.
Without further adieu, our beloved bacon cheese dip.
