We created a reading loft for our son years ago, and the time and effort was well worth it.

This built in situation was created by using Ikea bunkbeds for the base of the build. I love when people get creative and are able to cut out some of the work of traditional builds.

I love the color she picked for this, too. It's Benjamin Moore Backwoods and you can find and watch more of the process of this build on her IG story collection. That small peek of the cross rug is a DIY, too.
Multiple custom built in bunk beds
I've seen multiple bunkbed setups in airbnbs and thought that was pretty smart but this inspiration is from an actual home. This momma, is a momma of six, so it totally makes sense to have a bunk room!

Technically, I'm not sure we can call this one a built in bunk bed but, I'm making the rules and wanted to include it for the inspiration. I love the use of space here for younger kids. Why not just put a mattress on the floor and make a play loft above the bed? I think this is so fun and creative.

Now, the hard part is going to be what awesome built-in bunk bed to build, right? We are out of the stage for bunkbeds, but I still think that they are the coolest ever.
