We are officially past the halfway mark on the 12 days of Christmas Ornaments. It feels so good that I've been able to keep up! =) I would say that crafting is definitely not my strong point so this has been a good experience of getting out of my comfort zone. I'm much more comfortable with scheming up room designs and making things out of wood. Crazy, right? Anyways, today I want to share a Simple and Easy Fabric Ornament!
Simple and Easy Fabric Ornament
This one took about ten minutes and would be cute in almost any fabric!

Fabric Scraps
Cut your fabric scraps into a 1 inch square (approximately). Cut your wire into 1.5-2 inch strips.
Twist your wire around the middle of your fabric.
Stick the wire portion into the styrofoam ball. You don't need any glue for this.
Keep going and going. Seriously, I felt like the energizer bunny here. It was a bit like a never-ending ten minute process!
When you get the whole ball filled, insert a longer piece of the wire in the top to make a loop for hanging the ornament.
Super simple and cheap!
*Some of the products used in this project were paid for with a gift card provided by Michaels.

Such an amazing idea! I love the no glue part ... how genius to just use wire!

Thanks Linda. It never fails that I burn myself every time with hot glue so I try to avoid it when I can!

Yeah, the no glue part and the fact that it can be customized to any kind of fabric makes it a super great idea!

I really like this ornament but it took a lot longer than 10 minutes- how about almost 2 hours. I was going to make six- I changed my mind. I used the larger styrofoam ball- I just don't have enough time to make another. Mine was very full and pretty, but certainly took awhile
Ashley Mayes
Oh no! I wonder if the size of the foam was just drastically different. Mine was about the size of golf ball. Also, I used pretty thick fabric which helped it fill it. You shouldn't give up... I bet it's pretty!
Heather
